Totowa, NJ – Following two incidents involving work-related hand injuries, Precision Custom Coatings LLC has been cited by OSHA for numerous safety violations.

OSHA began investigating the company in September 2013 when they were informed that a machine operator’s hand was crushed while moving materials through a roller machine. During the investigation, OSHA was contacted about another incident where an employee suffered a partial hand amputation while performing machine maintenance. Proposed penalties for the safety violations total $185,400.

Employers are responsible for preventing or controlling hazards in the workplace. In this case, Precision Custom Coatings failed to use danger tags or proper guards on machinery to warn employees and protect them from injuries.

In New Jersey, it doesn’t matter who caused your injury. What matters is that the injury arose out of and during the course of your employment. Even if the accident was your fault, you are still entitled to workers’ compensation benefits. These benefits may include fully paid medical care, pay for lost wages, and a cash settlement for your injuries.

Morris County workers’ comp lawyer Manfred Ricciardelli will help make sure you and your family get all of the benefits you are entitled to. We invite you to come in for a free consultation to discuss your case and legal options. If you hire us to represent you, we only get paid if we win your case.
