Little Egg Harbor, N.J. – Three construction workers were injured last Wednesday as they tried to raise a house damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
The most seriously injured worker fell from the roof of the two-story home. He suffered head and back injuries. He was flown to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City. Two other workers were taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center in Stafford.
The house was being raised so it would be above the flood zone. Rosalie Bloys, a woman who witnessed the NJ construction accident, says the house fell extremely quickly.
“This one was lucky,” said Mystic Island Deputy Fire Chief Bill Stenger. “It could have been worse. They all got out.”
We wish the victims involved in this incident a fast and full recovery.
